A Few Events

Letty with baby Kera; 17 days old.

I took my first college course in 1998 at Portland Community College. After 11 years, classes at PCC, South Mountain Community College in Phoenix, more PCC, flight school At Hillsboro Helicopters, two years of on-line classes at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and who knows how many thousands of dollars, my diploma showed up today... drum roll please....in the mail. There is a graduation ceremony in Daytona Beach, Florida; however, in true Clifford fashion, I am not going. After all, I have not gone to any other of my graduations, so why start now?

And now for the thing that you have all been wondering. I have a cast on because I broke my wrist... three months ago. In early August I was at the church on a Wednesday night with the YM/YW and I was playing bump with one of the kids. I was rushing to get the ball when I rolled my ankle and went down hard. The first thing that I heard when I was attempting to scrape what was left of my pride, and my body, off the floor was the voice of Brother Trahan, the other counselor in the Bishopric saying, "Marc, you're too old to be playing like that!" My ankle hurt and my wrist hurt, but I sucked it up and dealt with it feeling that I had only twisted both body parts. I even limped and gimped at work for a couple days. They both slowly felt better, and after a few weeks I was only left with occasional slight pain in my wrist when I twisted it wrong.

Well last week we started going to a new family doctor. He checked my pulse and all the vital signs and asked if there was anything bothering me. I said "not really. Well, since I am here, if I try to do a pushup my left wrist bothers me a little because I fell a few months ago." The doctor decided it would be wise to get it x-rayed, so the next day off I went. The x-ray was done, and it turns out that I have had a fracture in my wrist for the last three months. My doctor sent me to an orthopedic surgeon for treatment. He did some more x-rays and sent me for an MRI. He said that it appeared to be aligned and healing normally, so a cast was the best option. I was happy with that, the other options included screws and bone grafts. For you medical types in the family the scaphoid is what I fractured.

The post Graduation Party! Thumbs up!

Some pectures from the trip to Oregan.

This is something we did when we went to Oregon visiting the Grandparents, we really enjoyed the time and the weather (it was sunny the whole week and 79 degree).

And the grandparents surprised us with this pinata with lots of candy.

and with this delicious ice cram cake.

The girls played a lot with their cousins.

Marc and I went hiking, almost every day, spending time together and enjoying the mountains, the view that we do not have here in Louisiana.

We miss Oregon and the family.

Sometimes the paths to get there were easy, but other times they were hard.

I was done for that day.

More pictures from this trip are coming.

Mushu in recovery....

Mushu with her leg in a cast.

Today we took our Iguana to the hospital because she broke her leg. Now she is better. but our wallet is more empty and our bills are growing

Medical bill $$$

Light bulb $$$

New cage $$$

Marc told me that it would be cheaper to cook Mushu for a dinner and buy 3 more iguanas for less than the medical bill.

Animals Lifes.

This weekend we went to the temple in the morning, the girls love to go. And after that we spent the evening on the beach, it was so fun, the girls enjoyed the time playing, making a castle, trying to fish, and more, but something happened when we were in the water. We were sitting in the water when I felt something pinch in my back so I tryed to move it from my back and I saw a little crab biting my hip, It was stuck and Marc tried to help me, (but I felt that he was so slow, maybe because it was hurting me) Now I know if I am so delightful and the crab wants to try me or I am so Fat and it thought mmmmm a lot of food!!!
We don't have pictures from this trip, we always forget to take the camera when we need it.

A Bath with a Buddy

A few days ago Adaliz and Nayalie was taking a bath, they were having so much fun and I asked them;
L: Hey girls, ready?
G: They told me: not yet.
L: Why not?
G: Because we are playing with our new friend.
L: Do you have a new friend, what is her name?
G: Adaliz, I don't know? Mom come and see it.

Because I was talking from the hall, I was thinking she was talking about an imaginary friend.
L: Ok let me see your friend, " it was a
Geko" I can't believe. So I told them, they had to put the Geko outside.
A: No mammy, its my Friend.
L: No! Its not a toy, its is an animal and they have to be outside. (We have an iguana, but I don't like lizards)
A: Mammy I don't want to.
L: But I do.

We never know what the girls bring inside. they love play with everything alive, they are not afraid at all.

Everyone that has children needs to have their eyes open all the time.

Good Morning Mom!

This Monday morning Adaliz woke me up with this drawing.
She told me, Surprise mom, it is for you. Do you like it? I told her: yes, but do you think Dad and I are fat? and she said: "yes" and you have a big poto (tooshy).

I don't know what she wants to tell us, ???????

I told Marc that we need to do more exercise and no more ice cream.

Blueberries and fun

Marc found an ad in the newspaper last year about a place where we can go to pick blueberries in Deridder, this year we were waiting for the same ad but, it did not come. So we tried to find the same place, so you can see that we did it.

They were working while I was taking pictures. (the hard work was my part).

It took a while to fill them up because the girls were eating two and putting one in the bucket eating two and putting one in the bucket.

28 pounds and we don't know how many pounds in the girls belly, for $25.00!!

Now we have blueberries for the whole year.
